This policy explains what personal information KemsetUSA, LLC ("Kemset", "we", "us") collects through kemset.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It covers this website only.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, and a small amount collected automatically.
When you contact us
The contact form records your name, email address, phone number, company, and your message, along with the product page you started from if you arrived from one.
When you apply to become a distributor
The distributor form records your company name, contact name, email address, phone number, business address, and your message, plus your D-U-N-S number and employee count if you choose to provide them.
When you place an order
An order records your email address, phone number, shipping name and address, the items and quantities ordered, and the amounts charged. Payments are handled by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach our servers or our database. We store only the Stripe identifiers needed to reconcile your payment.
When you use the cart
Your cart contents are held in a cookie on your device, signed so that it cannot be altered in transit. It is strictly necessary for the shop to work and is not used for advertising or analytics.
Collected automatically
When you submit the contact or distributor form we record the IP address and browser user agent the submission came from. We use this only to investigate spam and abuse. We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or cross-site profiling on this website.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and to send you a quotation or invoice.
- To take payment, fulfil your order, and arrange delivery.
- To assess distributor applications.
- To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting.
- To protect the site from spam, fraud, and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that make the site work:
- Stripe. Payment processing. Receives your payment and contact details.
- FedEx. Shipping rates and delivery. Receives your destination address.
- Amazon Web Services. Email delivery for order confirmations and enquiry notifications, and hosting of our infrastructure.
- Hetzner. Hosting of the website and its database.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we are required to retain financial records, which is at least seven years. Contact and distributor form submissions are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and maintain the commercial relationship, and are deleted when they are no longer useful. You may ask us to delete an enquiry sooner.
Where your information is held
The website and its database are hosted by Hetzner. Our payment, shipping, and email providers operate in the United States and elsewhere. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Children
This website is intended for building professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on the site.
